Allow us to tell you about our story.
Created Women was founded in 2007 after our founder, Joann Gray, witnessed the transformative impact of outreach ministries serving women in prostitution in Manila, Philippines.
Inspired by this experience, she returned to Tampa and, alongside a team from Tampa Underground and launched what began as a grassroots outreach effort to connect with and support vulnerable women.
Over time, this initial outreach grew into a comprehensive organization offering safe housing, residential recovery programs, and community-based services—expanding its reach to become a leading support system for survivors in the the state of Florida.
OUR PROGRAM
Created Women offers a continuum of care meeting women at every stage of recovery. Through street, club, and jail outreach and our Drop-In Center, we connect vulnerable women to resources and support. Our residential program provides safe housing, trauma-informed care, and personalized care plans tailored to each woman's unique needs. Post-graduate support groups ensure continued community and accountability beyond graduation, so no woman walks her journey alone.
